Press. Speak. Done.

Dictation that lives on a hotkey, not in a separate app. You never leave the window you're working in.

1

Press your hotkey

Place the cursor where the text should go — an email draft, a document, a chat box, a code comment — and press the dictation hotkey. A small indicator confirms it's listening.

2

Speak naturally

Talk in your native language, at your normal pace. No command vocabulary to learn, no robotic pausing. A twenty-second thought that would take two minutes to type takes twenty seconds to say.

3

Finish — text lands at your cursor

Stop the recording and the transcribed text is inserted right where your cursor sits. No transfer step, no separate transcript window, nothing to copy anywhere.

Why dictate instead of type?

Because speaking is 3–4× faster than typing — and because system-wide dictation means one workflow for every app, not a different voice feature in each one.

One dictation for every application

Word has its own dictation, Windows has another, your browser a third — each with different quality and different quirks. PasteSuiteAI gives you a single, consistent voice input that works in every text field on your PC, driven by whichever speech model you pick.

3–4× faster than typing

Most people speak 130–150 words a minute and type 40. Long emails, meeting notes, detailed AI prompts, documentation — anything longer than a sentence is dramatically faster spoken. Your hands stay free for the mouse while your words do the work.

Modern AI accuracy, your language

Today's speech models understand natural, flowing speech in practically every language — accents, technical terms, mixed-language sentences. Dictate in the language you think in, and get clean text out, or have it translated on the way.

Local and offline, if you want it

Choose a local speech-to-text model and your voice is transcribed entirely on your own machine — no internet, no audio uploaded anywhere. Ideal for confidential drafts, client work, or just peace of mind. See running fully local AI.

Or cloud, when accuracy is king

Connect any supported cloud transcription or audio model with your own API key and get state-of-the-art accuracy on difficult audio — fast talkers, jargon, background noise. You decide per situation; switching takes seconds.

Built for AI-era writing

Dictation shines brightest when you're feeding an AI: spoken prompts carry far more context than the one-liners people type. Developers use it to talk to Cursor, Copilot, and Claude Code — writers use it to brief their rewrite actions.

Your voice stays yours.

PasteSuiteAI has no servers in your data path. With a local speech model, audio is processed entirely on your machine and never leaves it. With a cloud model, audio goes straight from your machine to the provider you configured — under your own API key, stored in the Windows Credential Manager, encrypted by the OS.

We never see, store, or route your recordings or transcripts. There is no account, no audio archive, no analytics backend.

Dictation questions, answered.

Which languages are supported?

Practically all of them. Coverage depends on the speech model you choose, and modern models handle dozens of languages — major European and Asian languages, regional accents, even mixed-language speech — out of the box. You dictate in your native language and get clean text; you can also have the transcript translated in the same step. Details in the speech-to-text docs.

Does dictation work offline?

Yes. Select a local speech-to-text model and transcription runs entirely on your own hardware — no internet connection required, no audio leaving your computer. See Local AI Models for the setup. Cloud models remain available whenever you want maximum accuracy instead.

Which applications can I dictate into?

Any Windows application that accepts text: Word, Outlook, Teams, Slack, WhatsApp Web, every browser, IDEs like VS Code and Visual Studio, terminals, note-taking apps. Dictation is system-wide — the text is inserted at your cursor position, whatever window is focused. There is nothing to enable per app.

Do I need a subscription from a speech provider?

Not necessarily. With a local model, dictation costs nothing beyond your own hardware. If you prefer a cloud model, you bring your own API key from the provider of your choice and pay them directly at their rates — typically fractions of a cent per dictation. PasteSuiteAI adds no markup and no proxy.

What does PasteSuiteAI cost?

You start with a 7-day unlimited trial — every feature, no credit card. After that there's a permanent free tier with 15 AI actions per rolling 24 hours. Pro removes the cap for €29/year incl. VAT, cancel anytime. See pricing.

How is this different from Windows voice typing?

Windows voice typing uses one fixed engine. PasteSuiteAI lets you pick the model — a private local one or a state-of-the-art cloud one — and combines dictation with the rest of the suite: AI text actions on selected text, custom prompts on hotkeys, action chaining. Dictate a rough draft, then press another hotkey to have your AI polish it in place.
