Legal Status under the German Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSG)

The German Accessibility Reinforcement Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG), in force since 28 June 2025, applies to specific categories of products and services listed in § 1(2) BFSG.

• Product scope: PasteSuiteAI is a general-purpose desktop software application. It is not a hardware system, self-service terminal, consumer device for telecommunications or audiovisual media, or e-book reader. It therefore does not fall within the product categories listed in § 1(2) Nos. 1–6 BFSG.
• Service scope: To the extent that any service offered by Keynaptic GmbH (e.g. the e-commerce functionality of this website, when activated) falls within the service categories of § 1(2) Nos. 7–12 BFSG, Keynaptic GmbH is a micro-enterprise within the meaning of § 2 No. 17 BFSG (fewer than ten employees and annual turnover or balance-sheet total not exceeding EUR 2 million). Pursuant to § 3(3) BFSG, micro-enterprises providing services are exempt from the obligations of the BFSG.

Notwithstanding the legal exemption, we are committed to voluntarily improving accessibility as described below.

Our Commitment

Keynaptic GmbH is committed to making PasteSuiteAI accessible to all users. We strive to follow established accessibility standards and continuously improve the experience for people with disabilities.

Current Accessibility Features

• Full keyboard control — All core features can be operated via configurable global hotkeys, without requiring a mouse.
• Dark mode support — The application and this website automatically adapt to your operating system’s color scheme preference.
• Scalable interface — The application offers a UI scale setting (100%–300%) to enlarge all interface elements.
• Customizable colors — Background, text, and accent colors can be adjusted in Settings to improve readability and contrast.
• Adjustable transparency — Overlay windows support configurable opacity to accommodate different visual needs.
• No animations or flashing content — The application does not use animations, flashing, or blinking elements that could affect users with photosensitive conditions.
• Speech-to-text — Built-in audio transcription enables voice-driven workflows as an alternative to typing.
• System tray operation — The application runs from the system tray, minimizing screen clutter and supporting assistive technology workflows.

Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA where applicable. As a native desktop application, not all web-specific criteria apply directly, but we use WCAG as our guiding framework for accessible design.

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following areas where accessibility can be improved:

• Screen reader support — Some custom UI elements (overlays, popup windows) may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We are working to improve ARIA attributes and semantic markup.
• Keyboard focus indicators — Visual focus indicators in some parts of the settings interface could be more prominent.
• High contrast mode — While colors are customizable, the application does not yet have a dedicated high-contrast theme preset.

Third-Party Content

PasteSuiteAI integrates with third-party AI providers whose output we do not control. Accessibility of AI-generated content (including formatting, language complexity, and structure) depends on the provider and prompt configuration.
